Boarding Party

I’ve been getting the hang of some great Battlezones terrain from mantic, and they are super impressive! They’re modular and rearrangeable thanks to the plastic connector pieces that are included in the box. You simply snap everything in place and you’re off and running. While they will definitely need glue to stand up to the rigours of gameplay (unless they’re part of your personal collection and are treated with a delicate touch), they are perfect for my needs as set pieces and props. It’s exciting to have terrain that I can assemble, paint, and then collapse back down once I’m finished with a shoot. While the box art and promotional photos show the Battlezones sets as creating buildings, they’re equally useful for interior corridors and rooms. What do you think? Pretty cool, right?
